The U.S. Virgin Islands is one of the Caribbean’s most unique destinations. It is a United States territory with its own distinct culture, events, and island identity. My interest in covering it grew out of attending a travel convention, where the USVI and its annual St. Thomas Carnival stood out as a destination worth exploring and writing about.
